General
Continua is a platform for Australian allied health practitioners. Patients use a free app to log how they're going between visits: symptoms, mood, food, sleep, environment, exercise, and standard outcome measures.
You get the clinical side: AI-drafted notes from your sessions, a clear picture of what's changed since the last visit, and ready-to-go reports for NDIS, GPs, and discharge.
The point is simple: less time on paperwork, more time with patients, and never walk into a session blind.
Yes for allied health. Each discipline gets the relevant tools:
- Physiotherapy: body mapping, exercise programs, pain tracking
- Psychology: standard outcome measures (PHQ-9, GAD-7, K10, DASS-21), mood and stress journals, AI session notes
- Occupational Therapy: care plan management, AHA supervision, NDIS reporting
- Speech Pathology: practice recordings, parent-friendly summaries, paediatric workflows. See our speech pathology page for the full picture.
- Exercise Physiology: home program delivery, between-visit tracking, wearable data
- Dietetics: food journaling, trigger spotting, environmental tracking
Any NDIS-registered allied health practice benefits from the built-in NDIS Progress Reports.
Yes. Continua is built around clinician supervision of AHAs and other team members.
- Starter plan: 1 AHA seat
- Growth plan: 2 AHA seats
- Practice plan: custom for larger teams
You control what each team member can see, what they can edit, and what needs your sign-off before it enters the clinical record. Receptionists, admin staff, and billing roles are also supported.
Yes, always free for patients.
Download Continua on iOS or Android at no cost. Symptom tracking, body mapping, mood journaling, food and environmental triggers, outcome questionnaires, and the home programs your clinician sets are all included for every patient your practice invites.
Practitioners pay the monthly subscription. Patients never do.
No. If you have urgent symptoms, call Triple Zero (000) in Australia or your local emergency services immediately.
Continua is for ongoing care between appointments, not for emergency or acute care decisions. The patient app is a tool to help you and your clinician work together, not a replacement for clinical assessment.
Yes. Continua is on both the App Store and Google Play. The mobile apps support the last two major iOS and Android releases.
The clinician portal is a web app that works in the latest two versions of Chrome, Safari, and Edge.
Researchers studying chronic conditions, digital therapeutics, or patient engagement can apply for early access.
All research data is de-identified and governed by ethics-approved data sharing agreements. Apply via the Contact Us form selecting Researcher Early Access, and we will work through scope, ethics review, and data governance with you.
AI Clinical Notes
AI scribes record the session and write a note. That's one part of Continua, not the whole thing.
Continua's notes already know your patient. The draft pulls in the last few months of how they've been going, their active goals, and recent symptoms, so you're editing something contextual rather than a generic transcript.
Around the note you also get the free patient app, between-visit tracking, NDIS reports, and sync with Cliniko, Splose, or Halaxy. If you're already happy with a stand-alone AI scribe, Continua doesn't fight it. It adds everything that should sit around the note.
Record your video session, upload audio, or drop in a meeting recording. Continua writes a structured note for you, pre-loaded with the patient's recent history, active goals, and how their outcome measures have been moving.
It's not a generic transcript summary. It's a draft that already has the context, so editing is fast.
Every note moves through review and sign-off before it enters the clinical record. You're always in the loop.
Trends Engine
Patients log a lot of small things between visits: symptoms, sleep, food, mood, environment, exercise, and standard outcome measures.
The Trends Engine watches all of it and pulls out the patterns you'd want to know about. Improvements you can point to, dips you'd want to ask about, possible triggers, and changes that are big enough to matter.
The summary is ready about two hours before each appointment, so you walk in with the picture instead of building it from memory.
NDIS
Yes. NDIS Progress Reports are built in.
They pull straight from what your patient actually did between visits: hours engaged, sessions attended, exercises completed, and how their outcome measures have moved over time. Plan-review-ready evidence in minutes, not weekends.
Other report types include Comprehensive, GP Letter, Discharge Summary, and Condition-Specific. They all draw from the same patient data, so the story stays consistent across formats.
Integrations
Cliniko, Splose, and Halaxy are practice management systems. They handle scheduling, billing, and online booking, and most allied health practices already use one of them. We don't replace them.
Continua handles the clinical side they don't:
- A free patient app with body mapping, symptom tracking, and standard outcome measures
- A clear view of what's changed for each patient between visits
- AI-drafted notes from your sessions
- NDIS Progress Reports built from what your patient actually did, not what you remember
- Real progress tracking on outcome measures like PHQ-9 and DASS-21
We sync with Cliniko, Splose, and Halaxy. You keep your scheduler. We add the clinical layer on top.
Two-way sync of patients, practitioners, and appointments. Setup takes about three minutes. Paste an API key or sign in via OAuth, no migration, no IT team.
Your PMS stays the source of truth; Continua never overwrites your records. See the integrations list for current status per PMS.
Yes. If the tool you use isn't on the integrations list, get in touch and we'll scope it together.
Most modern systems can be connected via FHIR, REST APIs, or HL7, depending on what your software exposes.
Beta integrations are live today with a small group of clinicians. We're in early access before rolling the integration out to all customers.
If you'd like Beta access, get in touch and we'll set you up.
Yes. Continua speaks the standard healthcare data format that hospital and electronic record systems use, so connecting to your hospital's records is straightforward where IT has set up the link.
If you're scoping a hospital or multi-clinic rollout, book a demo and we'll talk through what your environment needs.
Security & Compliance
Yes. Practitioner accounts are verified against AHPRA (or your relevant professional body) at onboarding.
Licensed practitioners are the account holders. AHAs, support workers, and admin staff are added under the verified practice account, each with their own access level.
Yes. Connecting to a clinician requires a confirmed booking, so the link is always something you have explicitly agreed to.
You can disconnect at any time in your settings to stop new data sharing. How past data is handled follows the Australian Privacy Principles and your clinician's record-keeping policy.
Yes. Request data export or account deletion via the Contact Us form.
Requests are handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and your clinician's record-keeping obligations. Some clinical records may be retained for the period required by healthcare regulation, even after your personal account is closed.
Yes. Continua is ISO/IEC 27001 certified, the international standard for information security management.
Patient data is encrypted, access is role-based, and every clinical action is recorded in a tamper-resistant log. We also follow recognised standards for responsible AI use and medical software quality.
In Australia. Patient data is stored in Australian data centres and stays under Australian privacy law. It never leaves the country.
It's encrypted while it moves and while it sits, and we keep secure backups so nothing's lost if something goes wrong.
Yes. Continua follows the Australian Privacy Principles, is aligned with GDPR for EU patients, and aligned with HIPAA for US workflows.
In practice that means:
- Patients consent to exactly what's shared, not a blanket on/off
- Each team member's access is scoped to their role
- Every clinical action is logged, and the log can't be rewritten after the fact
- Records are kept for the period your healthcare regulations require
Every clinical action (created, edited, viewed, exported) is recorded with full version history.
Notes move through Draft, then Review, then Approved, with revisions tracked along the way. Records are kept for the period your healthcare regulations require, typically up to 7 years.
Nobody, including admins, can rewrite the history after the fact.
Pricing & Plans
Plans start at $149 per month per practitioner (Starter), with most clinicians on the Growth plan at $399 per month. Annual billing saves about 17%.
The patient app is always free. Higher-volume and multi-clinician practices have custom pricing.
See the full pricing page for the breakdown, or book a demo if you run a high-volume or multi-clinician practice.
Per-practitioner monthly subscription, charged in AUD. Choose monthly or annual billing.
Annual billing saves about 17% (around two months free). The Practice plan is custom-priced for high-volume and multi-clinician needs.
Yes.
- Monthly plans cancel at the end of the current billing period.
- Annual plans cancel at the end of the annual term.
No lock-in beyond your current period. Your data is exportable on request before account closure.
Longitudinal tracking follows the same patient across many sessions and reporting cycles. You see whether the clinical picture, outcomes, and reports are genuinely changing over time, not whether today's single snapshot looks different from one in the past.
Available on Growth and Practice plans.
Cross-domain analysis connects patient-reported data across categories (symptoms, mood, sleep, food, environment) instead of looking at each in isolation. It surfaces relationships a single domain alone would miss, like the link between a patient's environmental exposure and their symptom severity.
The Starter plan includes per-domain trends. Growth and Practice unlock the cross-domain layer.
AI credits are the unit Continua uses to meter the heavier AI workloads on the platform. They cover things like report generation, video and audio analysis, document analysis, and the trends engine.
Lighter day-to-day actions (PROM scoring, basic chat, the Living Patient Profile, smart-form auto-fill) don't draw on credits. The included monthly allowance is sized so that most clinical work fits comfortably inside it.
If you happen to need more in a given month, additional credits can be topped up on demand. Top-up credits are charged at $0.20 AUD each, with no expiry.
The Plan Workspace is the dedicated surface in Continua for the patient's treatment plan: goals, strategies, weekly focus areas, and precautions, with version history and AHA supervision built in.
It replaces the loose Word doc or PDF treatment plan that lives in someone's email and turns it into a versioned, supervised, NDIS-grade clinical artefact.
A Practice Management System (PMS) is the software a clinic uses for the operational side of practice: bookings, demographics, billing, claiming, and reminders. The major systems in Australian allied health are Cliniko, Splose, and Halaxy.
Continua does not replace your PMS. It sits alongside as the clinical layer, and patient, appointment, and note data flow between the two automatically.
Custom integrations (EMRs, calendar, FHIR, HL7) are available on the Practice plan.
Standard chat (on Starter) is secure messaging between clinicians, AHAs, and patients.
Advanced chat (on Growth and Practice) adds two things on top: you can share any clinical event (notes, plans, PROM scores, reports, profiles) directly into the conversation, and the patient's consent is collected automatically when you do.
Getting Started
Use the Book a Demo button anywhere on the site.
The call is typically 30 minutes. We ask about your discipline, NDIS load, current PMS, and the biggest workflow pain points, then show you the part of Continua that fixes that specific problem. We do not do generic feature dumps.
If there is a fit, we move into onboarding and configure your practice workspace from there.
Most practitioners run their first session in Continua within a week.
- Starter plan: self-service with tutorials
- Growth plan: 1-on-1 onboarding call
- Practice plan: white-glove setup
Practice management integration with Cliniko, Splose, or Halaxy takes about three minutes once API access is granted.
